Tufting Workshops with Amanda
Join artist Amanda Vencatasamy at Sean O’Casey Community Centre, East Wall, Dublin, for a playful and immersive introduction to tufting.
This 4.5-hour workshop is a chance to step away from the everyday, slow down, and spend time making something colourful, tactile and completely your own.
You’ll learn how to use a tufting gun, experiment with wool, colour and texture, and create your own small tufted rug or wall hanging to take home on the day.
No previous experience is needed. This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop designed to give you time to settle in, enjoy the process, and reconnect with your creativity.
You’ll choose your design in advance so your frame can be prepared before you arrive. On the day, you’ll be guided through each stage, from learning how to use the tufting gun to shaving, shaping and finishing your piece.
